Financial Services & FinTech Lead, Asia-Pacific, Enterprise Ireland

As Head of Financial Services and FinTech for the Asia-Pacific region, Mo is a senior member of Enterprise Ireland’s Asia-Pacific team based in Hong Kong.

Enterprise Ireland is one of the most active investors in FinTech start-ups in the world. In 2017, it invested in 23 FinTech start-ups and has invested in over 80 FinTech start-ups since 2014. Currently, Enterprise Ireland’s portfolio comprises over 200 FinTech companies (generating €1billion in revenues p.a). Enterprise Ireland has recently launched a new Competitive Start Fund for FinTech and DeepTech start-up companies to invest in companies working in the areas of FinTech, PropTech, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, augmented and virtual reality, IoT, blockchain and cloud.

Mo is responsible for helping start and scale companies in the region, working with entrepreneurs and C-suite decision makers to identify and harness opportunities in the financial services industry. Mo also works to expand relationships with start-ups, financial institutions, government, regulators, venture capitalists and other service providers across the FinTech ecosystem. Key areas of interest include Payments, Security, RegTech, InsurTech, BPO, Big Data, SaaS, AI, Entrepreneurship, Impact Investing, Early Stage Investment and Emerging Markets.

Having been based in Hong Kong for a number of years, Mo is also actively involved in a number of organisations promoting women in business in Asia. She was selected as a protégé for The Women's Foundation Mentoring Program for Women Leaders in Business. She is also a Board Member of Women in Law Hong Kong (WILHK - www.wilhk.com) and the Past Co-Chair of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation in Hong Kong (IWIRC - www.iwirc.com/networks/hong-kong).

Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland, Mo was an international corporate lawyer for almost 10 years (in Ireland & Hong Kong) and actively involved in the tech start-up scene in Asia as an investor and advisor.
